Blackberry Recommendations

My Dad needs to get a new phone, and his work is only a Blackberry community. I'm not fond of Blackberry's, so I have a bit of a biased opinion. I suggested the curve, or the 8800. They seem like the most user friendly / work friendly units. The others seem either very catered toward personal productivity, or work productivity.

Any suggestions?

All the BB features are really nice (i.e. POP EMail etc..)

I currently have the Pearl and I just cant get over the fact that it feels cheap. Very light grade plastics and chrome accents are starting to fade.

But being as the models mentioned above are the flagship models, maybe they have a better build quality.

My wife has the 8800 and I think it's pretty slick. Definitely much easier to use and much faster than my XV6700 phone.
