rock chips sucks ass

Well after installing my GLI lip i have a new hatred for rock chips... How do you guys keep your cars looking so good with all those chips on the paint? Any suggestions?

dont drive so fast....my front bumper is 2" off the ground and ive already been pelted with rocks

Rock chips are unavoidable, especially in congested So Cal traffic. You can try using some kind of 3M clear bra type of product. I know that some people have applied rockblocker on their rigs. It would probably have to be a custom job if you have an aftermarket lip.

i had it taped up on friday i took the tape off this morning and had shitty residue stuff on it.. how long should i keep that tape on the lip before replacing it

actually if u got a full lip kit it doesnt look bad with blue tape...

how long can that blue tape stay on there without the residue sticking to the paint? i have the same blue painters tape that is in the pic.... should it only be placed on there for a day or two?

if its really hot like every few days
just make sure you peel it off on a hot day to keepthe sticky stuff warm (eewwwe that sounded funny) and wash asap. careful though cuz if its left on too long and it bakes to the paint it'll peel the clear off...trust i know

i think rock chips or missing paint is a badge of honor...it tells me that the owner drives the car......its like having the hottest chick on the planet but not being able to do the grown up with her....whats the point?!?.......i dont know how you guys drive....my bumper and my car a semi low and i dont have any noticeable chips in my paint and i drove my car all over the western US with no stupid painters tape----i guess your cars dont kick as much ass as mine!! ;)

Try going on a canyon blast with with a few chipped and Stage III+ 1.8T's....throw a couple of M3's in the mix...then tell me you have no rock chips!
