Really? Interesting... talking about illegal substances is taboo but other illegal activities is no biggie?
street racing, it's a biggie. We delete posts and as recently seen by Tony, banned a member outright.

I understand the racing thing since it's directly correlated with the car industry... but smoking weed? Wow, I should have been banned by now, I've admitted to far worse crimes than that on here; some felonies I'm sure.
And the art of modding cars is mostly illegal in this state... I doubt that everybody has strictly CARB legal items on their street cars, or only tracks their non-CARB legal cars.

I was stoned once beating up some cholo from Linda Vista who jumped the fence to crash our house party in Clairemont. Some of his buddies grabbed some bricks from the neighbors yard and hurled them at me from the top of the fence....I had to get 21 staples in my head that night...I guess they hit their own homey as well cause I heard he got some stitches to his face....
I guess thats getting bricked though and not stoned.....

Hmmm... I disagree. It sounds as though it's not the date/time (past/present) of the "crime" but the type of crime.
You wouldn't ban me if I was posting up while installing a crazy like stage 478327 turbo on my car or a dump pipe or a chip.

Okay... here's the deal...
Posted rules are forthcoming so we don't have to get into these arguments but...
We look the other way on alot of stuff as far as moderation goes. We try to keep the site semi-clean so that we have at least a decent image to the rest of the world. For the most part, that means keeping things just barely shy of pornographic.
I don't necessarily agree how strong Paul's stance on this thread is but I can see where he's coming from and I'm going to back him up. Posting a thread about being stoned is pushing the boundaries just a bit as far as talking about illegal activities is concerned. I would call it tacky but that really doesn't make it any different than any of the other threads on here.
Really it just comes down to the fact that we are a car enthusiast community and it really doesn't make this a very friendly place if people are always talking about illegal stuff.
I'm locking this just because its an argument waiting to happen.
