I know... a random tangent, but seeing if anyone on the forums rides a fixie or SS bike. Im looking to pick one up, and would love to see who already has one

fixies elude me, it's def takes a lil getting used to.. my co has a wierdo ss bike, for quick jaunts around a flat area.

also, i know a cool dude at SanDiego Bike downtown, if you need professional assitance.

i'm not strong enough of a rider yet to ride a fixie or ss. ;) they are super clean looking bikes though. Simplicity at its best.

I converted an Old 70's Puegot frame into a fixie when I was working as a Courier in Boston...... till I I hit a pedestrian @ 25mph and snapped the fork....

I then decided it was safer (for me) to ride a BMX cruiser :)

What happened to the pedestrian, that must have sucked for him.

Yes I do!
Just sold my last one 2 months ago and I am building up another as we speak.
I use to race locally in the mid 80's to the early 90's.
My new one is all C Record!

Glad to hear theres a few on the forums. I got into road riding a while back, and than the simplicity of fixed/SS got me wanting one more and more. Long story short, i borrowed a buddies for a while and fell in love. Looking to build something up now for myself.

I love everything about them though really, and at school for me its completely flat so i figured id dive in.

Either or... SS MTBs are fun. I've never ridden a track bike in all my years riding.

Oh SHE.... she was cut up but fine.... Stupid business type women and her self important ego was reading her crack berry when she stepped off the curb..... thinking nothing was coming as she didn't see any cars out of the corner of her eye......

I thought she was gonna have to goto the hospitol, but she was just really angry..... I was ready to kill her as my bike was trashed
