Okay so Pissed off would be an understatement as to how I feel right now. This morning one of my workers came to me and told me something very disturbing that happened at the Fusion GTG last night. Apparently some kid slightly over 6 foot around 170lb,brown hair was talking out his ass about how Group 5 had something to do with the theft of porsche twist wheels off of a disabled MK4 golf that was towed and dropped behind my shop. Nothing could be further from the truth!! I have been an employee of the store since 1996 and owned the store since 1999 and I (along with many people that frequent this forum) can assure everyone that Group 5 Motorsport has never done anything like that....EVER! I run a straight up business 100% So before you talk out your ass whoever you were make sure you know what the deal is..You probably did not even have your license when this company was started. Rumors like this started by one ignorant person that does not bother to check into the situation to see if what he is saying is true are such a pain in the ass. "dude..did you even realize you were talking to the owner of the car when you opened your fat mouth and stuck your foot in it by talking about the missing Porsche wheels?" Ask around and see if anyone else on the forum backs you ignorant statement...! Lets think about this..We do an immense amount of high end euro and to think that we would risk our reputation for a set of Porsche wheels that would not sell for more than $1000.00 is so ignorant. I have professional athletes like pro skater Danny Way that give me the gate code and keys to thier house to pick up thier cars to mod them an you are questioning whether we stole a used set of Porsche wheels..get a clue!
You know who you are but you probably won't chime in here.....

I'm willing to bet that HE had something to do with those stolen wheels. Talking so openly about something like that coulda been his way of testing to see how much people really cared about the situation, or how many people knew what happened, or how much people knew about what happened...so that he could guage when a good time to slang those stolen wheels might be.
having said that, I am 6'1", brown/blonde hair, talk a fair amount of shit, but weigh nowhere near 170lbs.

Those of you who know me know it is slighty out of character for me to vent on the forum. This time I felt speaking out was neccassary though. Anyone who knows me or knows my business knows that stealing anything from my customers is something I do not advocate or tolerate at all.

I think you might not have considering the questions I would have choose to asked him, his answer would have been included in my rant as well.

wow im new to socaleuro but im glad hes 170 im about 130. but all ive heard abut group5motorsports is good so i highly doubt any of these accusations are true and besides that im pretty sure you will not burn out your own shop for a set of wheels reguardless of the price.

i am backing up troy on this 100% i've been to group 5 multiple times and as a repeat customer i have to say it is the best shop i have been to for aftermarket parts/tuning, the lil asshat should learn to meet people and not talk shit at meets.
on another note...troy i wish i could work for you!!!!
I figured I would post up to support Troy and Group 5
!
I worked along side with Troy back in the days at a shop I will not mention because most all of the people on this Forum were still in diapers... so you would not remember it but lets just say well before Group 5.
He was a very honest person back then and has not changed one bit as long as I have known him.
Keep up the good work Troy!:tup2:

Troy, I am very sorry that this sort of sh*t happens. Speaking as a much smaller business owner I know how disgusting people are  and how much it can really impact a company. Best wishes in finding this doood I will keep my ears open.
BTW I came into socaleuro b/c of the great INFLUENCE THIS community has. AS A SOCALEURO MEMBER I PLAN TO KEEP IT THAT WAY AND SO SHOULDN'T ALL OF US!

I'd have to agree. I've dealt with Troy and Group5 on a lot of product and referred a lot of people there and they have always provided excellent service and been real stand up about everything. In fact, Troy, I'll try to get by there on Monday as I need to order some coilovers! :D
And Will, I guess the shop would have had to be Dilingers on Morena??

HAHAHAHAHA....Rob--you just soooo dated yourself :D. If you know what Dillingers was you are getting old. Oh damm!! That means I am getting old too.
Seriously though..thanks guys. I always try and be a stand up guy and take care of my customers because they are what make my store what it is. Customer service and honesty are very important to me...I was on the other side of the counter buying parts from Dillingers before I worked there so I got to understand the business from both angles. Take care of people and they will take care of you with referrals etc in return.
I am a firm believer in Karma.
Thanks again guys!

Yeah..I must have missed it the first time..My bad.
I did not talk to him "yet". He was at one of the weekly Socal fusion get togethers and was apparently spouting off about how group 5 stole Porsche wheels off a car that was towed to the parking spots behind the shop blah blah blah. But what he did not realize was that he was talking to the owner of the car that the wheels were missing off of. The owner of the car and one of my employees kept telling him he has no idea what he is talking about and tried to explain the situation but MR. 20point IQ just did not understand. I hope to see him at one of the futue socal fusion meets so I can tell him what an idiot he is for speaking out on something he has no idea on and let him know what kind of impact stupid rumors like that can have on a company. I will make sure to re-post if I get a chance to meet up with MR. low IQ and set him straight.
This can be very damaging to a company, I doubt that anyone takes his words of an employee of Group5 stealing a set of wheels seriously, I don't. That type of stuff doesn't happen at a reputable shop by employees.
We have had break ins at dealers where I worked (hell even in Newport Beach) where stuff has been stolen, usually by low lifes or bored stupid kids.
Being that this can be vary damaging to your business and can cause financial ramifications, I would find out who this kid is for slandering your good name, and if he has posted it on the web in written form, thats libel have an attorney write a few letters and threaten to sue him for damages against your company which you can, and have every right to do. That doesn't cost too much to write a few letters and file a lawsuit. At which point he would be smart to shut his mouth or prepare to drop $20K on a lawyer to get himself out of a bind, thats what I would do since you can't "legally" shut their mouth for them anymore.

Its totally understandable, because the reputation of your business is at risk due to the ignorance of some immature douche bag.
But it sounds like you have a lot of respect in SD and on the forums so i wouldnt worry bro. :tup2:

Sall good man, I knew there was more to the story and was eager to hear more detail. I was under the impression you overheard his comments firsthand. Now I understand better what happened.
Its funny how when your doing well how the smucks out there feel the need to try and topple the empire? We have a company who is outright copying our hyd clutch kit (even stole the images from our web site) and is selling them as ours. Fools, coppied everything but some critical dimensions so "THEIR" kits dont work right.
Anyways, whoop ass on this one. :tup2:
