Love the Zodiac pic . . .
Love the pix of you without mags also . . . I hated going on army bases in Iraq cause we always had to be condition 4. I remember some captain yelling at me in the chow hall because I had a magazine in my weapon. She got all high and mighty, I told her to talk to my CO and tell our battalion to remove our mags, but until I changes to an army name badge I wouldn't be able to remove my mag. She got all flustered and said "Maybe I'll have to go talk to them then". People were snickering!!
I wanted to do the trigger pull "This is my safety" quote from Blackhawk Down, but I didn't want to be beligerant!

we were stationed on an AF base in balad which was pretty safe for the most part so we didnt have to walk around with loaded m16s. as for the whole walking around with a loaded rifle i find that hard to believe because every chow hall has a clearing barrel that must be used prior to entry...even the SF guys and snipers had to clear their rifles. all the marine FOBs we went to didnt have chow halls just one of those food trailers and even then the most remote ones we were attached to no one walked around fully loaded. im not saying u didnt but its hard to believe. but i know for us we couldnt load one until we left the post....

It sure looks like these guys dont know what to do since there's no land below them.
"OMG!! We're moving but my feet are stiill!" another guy "I think I'm gonna hurl"
navy guy: OMG I'm just enjoying taking all of this in. Now let me pull your hair and skirts back.:D

It may have been isolated incident . . . cause I had to go to supply and pick up chow and I remember that the supply guys had actually turned in all of their mags . . . I was like WTF!

i started as a 12c (bridge crewmember) but finished as as 12b (combat engineer)...which technically both are the SAME exact thing since we go to bootcamp/AIT together. the only difference is the bravos know how to disarm 2 more unique mines then us and we know how to build IRB's.\
...btw no their not rangers were combat engineers!
were the MA FACKOS! that really lead the way!
YEA! PURPLE SHOW!...MA FACKO!

Filipinos? We paid iraqi's like 2 dollars and they would police call and burn and stir the shitters!!
We had Indian's contracted to do all of our food, We were there quite a while ago, we were at dogwood, and Al Hilla.
If anyone has ever seen Semper Fi (playing on showtime I think) the guy CPL Key was in my unit, so he talks about everything that we did. It a documentary about being a Gay Marines.
I originally cringed too, but Key is a stand up guy and knew he had my back, and it is well produced, if anyone is looking to kill a couple of hours.

I think it might have been on HBO also . . . I hadn't seen it until last night, it was like 11 . . . there was a part that he talks about a marine in my platoon that died. He was driving water to one of the line companies, and his LVS rolled over, crushed him and his A driver suffered major injuries. That day was the last day I had cried in a while, and his recollection of the incident made it hard to sleep last night.
"As I looked the burning vehicle and all the bottle of water scattered across the desert floor. I picked up a bottle, it was hot to the touch. I realized that this water was meant for me. I opened the bottle toasted to Morenco, and drank it down."
That made me cry again!
Quick THANK YOU, with admiration and respect to those serving, and those who have served!

dude...the seabee's build all the shit over there. flat out truth. The marines may ask the ACE to do some stuff, but they then subcontract it to the Bee'z son!
cause we...CAN DO BITCHES!
