Just wondering because there's a certain Canadian spec Corrado for sale here in Cali was thinking of what troubles I might expect at the DMV.

People in NY do this all the time. From my understanding it's pretty straight forward and just like registering a regular car without too much hassle. If the car is already in the states it should just be a title swap.

ahhhhh . . . as long as the car has already come to US standards. A lot of thinks come into play. But I think that since it is already a car that was sold here, the safety crash tests and stuff don't apply. But I'm not sure how their restraint system may differ from our (probably doesn't)

The only time it is hard to get a car is when it is a model not sold in the US. If that's the case, not only would you have to make sure it is US spec, but also provide impact tests . . . meaning you would probably have to buy multiple cars just to crash test them and prove that they are safe . . . something like that.

If it's already registered in the USA, you don't have any worries. Same as registering any other car.

If you ever decide to bring a car down from Canada, different story - it's a PITA to get it federalized to US specs.

I agree. When I moved down here and was looking into bringing my Canadian spec MKIII GLX with me, it was a pain in the ass. I ended up NOT bringing it with me. Hopefully the car is already registered in the US, if not, best of luck.
