so i wanna get the aluminum interior trim but i've noticed that there are about 5 different companies offering them.. has anyone had any experience with any of the trim companies? how does it look? how long have you had it? any problems with it (installation and maintenance)? thanks in advance ;)

If quality is your biggest concern, go with OEM.

do you know of any companies that offer oem aluminum trim?.. i thought i had seen a post about something like this on the vortex but i can't find it anymore.. i would definitely prefer to use oem rather than stick'em up tape but whatever is available you know?
All of those stick-on kits I've seen suck. Your best bet is probably to get someone else's trim, and experiment with it until you get the look your after.

i have an oem kit thats not aluminum. its black carbon fiber. it looks sick, especially on the black dash.

carbon fiber is the only trim i don't want. i'm not too big on it plus i will still have some of my tan interior inside as well... not good to mix all that together.. where did you get it from? maybe they offer other trims as well?

yea they also have wood. i got it from the vw accessories catalog at the dealer when i bought my car. and i agree it wouldnt work too well with the tan but i think they have different colors. but with the black dash it looks incredible because its almost hidden. just adds a little bit of attitude

Yeah, it's not too cheap. But those kits are for the ENTIRE car, not just the dash. We're talkin door handles and everything.
