Question for the MINI ppl!!

So my dad is in the market for a MINI COOPER S/or not S and he was wondering what arethe common problems with this cars (if any) and whats the life expectancy of the motors??? we were looking at a 03 model S with 87k miles but he doesnt wanna buy it and have to replace/rebuild the motor any time soon............ the 03s were good, but it's WORTH it to get a used one at a BMW dealership..Carmax sucks!!!

i guess the only problem that i've seen as commen would be that the window some times gets stuck and wont go down.... easy fix. you just punch the door handle/tweeter area and it works again

other than that there really isnt a commen problem like all us vw owners suffer through.
