ok, so i found threads on "how to turn off DSC" and i tried, and wasnt really successful :( so if you just press DSC once, the light comes on, and turns off only the first stage leaving ABS on? then press DSC one more time to reset. press DSC and hold it on for about 2 secs, does this turn off ALL stages of DSC. im sorry, still a bit confused. everytime i rev it up and try to hold out for a burnout, the traction kicks in :( please help :( :(

bump for me yo!
press and hold the button for 10 seconds, this will shut off all but ABS, its a "dyno" mode. Cycle the key to reset it.
If you have a competition package, you can just hit the MFL button on the steering wheel. Do you have SMG?

Mine was a Track Dog I got off a NASA instructor. So its all about turns. Vogtland Springs, Konis, TMS Bars and Camber arms, Tranny Inforcers, GC Tower mounts, etc... The Go department is all Active Autowerks NA. A REAL CAI Box, 3.5" MAF, Injectors, Software, Gen III Header, URI Crank Pulley, Fan Delete Mod. Maybe 240Rwhp, nothing real killer but it runs real well. It's my 70m per DD. :D

I don't have pics hosted anywhere. If you search my name at Bimmer forums you can probably find some in the Hellrot thread in the Rides & Styling forum. Lots better looking cars then mine though....it has typical track knicks up front, some clear coat failure happening in the upper edge of the passenger door, and the rear wing, and some lovely scratches from my 6yr old! From 15' away if looks real good cause I do clay, buff, wax the paint...so what good paint there is, is still quite glossy. The Avatar pic is from a Bimmerforums Mequires Day right after I first got it. Never dyno'd it, just know it runs real well and I'm 4/1 with WRX's (including a STI and some '07s. The one that beat me was a sleeper wagon! Nice!), 3/0 with Evo's (including a pretty new MR..surprised both of us!) and of course your usual kid in a Mustang GT. (not tried the new ones yet) I of course know there are tons of each of those marques that can kill me. Just not ran into one yet..LOL! (prob helps I'm an old dude that knows how to race...)
Going fast in a straight line is fun, but a track car is like owning your own roller coaster, hence the 911 in my sig, when its done, it wont have a ton of HP, maybe 240 at the wheels, if I'm lucky, but at 2400LBS, and a track day suspension setup, it will kill cars with double the power on a road course. Our '00 3.4 cup car used to keep up with all the Cammer Mustangs in SCCA (this was in '05 when a 5 year old car is an antique) and we got numerous engine tear downs and vehicle inspections after the races.

Totally agree. Storys I heard from the original owner of my car (NASA Instructor in Mesa Az.) were quite interesting....some day I'll get it back on the track. Got several co-workers that go out with the Alfa owners club with their M3's and Porsches. (my Sr Director picked up a '04 GT3 to replace his '97 M3/4 that he tracked regulary....)
