looks good, front hood needs to be toned down a bit. Doesn't go very well with the overall sleek theme of the car. Too over-the-top

That's the replacement for the S-Type. As every lineup has in the Jaguar portfolio, there will be an R version coming. The verdict on the powerplant is still up in the air. Use the current S-Type R 4.2L Supercharged V8 for a 400hp solution or a new 5.0L Supercharged V8 with 500hp. Either way, you can be sure the styling will be much more aggressive, while maintaining a classy look that Jaguar owners expect.

I'm digging the new release just enough to have high hopes for the R!

Well the rear looks like a DB7, because Jag owns/owned the Austin Martin.

Actually, Aston Martin and Jaguar were both part of Premier Auto Group, a Division of Ford Motor Company, until this year, when Aston Martin was sold off to another group.

The chief designer, Ian Callum, worked for Ford and later for TWR Design, where he designed the DB7 and the V12 Vanquish.

I happen to be in the market for a Jag...so I've done a little research. :D Maybe I'll be the 1st Jag member on SocalEuro soon.

Pic 1: I think the lights on the trunk should match the lights on the rest of the rear. It looks like the trunk wasn't finished yet.
