I am not a huge fan of Brecht BMW . . . I will hold my comments. :ha:
this sounds very far fetched, or she isn't telling the whole story, I can understand the salesman's point of view, he doesn't get paid to take in lease returns, its not hard to do, When I was at Long Beach, we would take in ANY BMW lease return, it took about 10 minuets for the used car managers assistant to walk around the car, look at the tires, mileage and overall condition. Usually they charge you per ding, glass chip, tires, mileage and such.
If the sales manager got involved and got pissed, usually that means the customer is being a total ass. I think she was being a cunt and pissed off the sales staff and they told her to pound sand. We do it in service all the time with difficult customers that are out of hand, we just tell them to leave and that they aren't welcome back.

I wonder if it had something to do with the fact that one guy told her no, and then the manager was defending the first guy. That's rediculous. But I'm sure there was a lot of conversation we didn't get to see.
But if it was so easy that Mercedes could accept the car, how hard could it have been for Brecht to do it?
I hate being treated like shit at dealerships. Sure, I only rolled up in a 300ZX, but you don't know whit about me. I could be sitting on a $500,000 inheritance, and I want to special order an M6. We went to Acura and I swear, they peeked out through the blinds, and decided we weren't worth it.
But I like how whenever I go to Symbolic, they always come over and say, "If you have any questions, please let me know."

you guys are straight hatin'. I am sure that we arent getting the whole story, but I know a few sales people that can act that way.
I just cant believe that SCE, which is usually so friendly, is just flaming on this lady.
no class, especially dropping c@nt into the mix. do you know her, is she really?
I am glad you aren't on a jury in court, you made up your minds before everything has been said.

I'm with you... i didn't even bother clicking the link... but bottom line Customer Service is Customer Service PERIOD no matter how bad of a customer that person is! I had plenty of douche bag people come into my restaurant... wish I could just say that they had to leave and that they weren't welcomed back... instead i held my breath and usually by the end of their meal I'd get them to turn their attitude around, with great customer service... some people you just can't please so you just say fuck it, but still give them service. and thats why i no longer work in that field :p

there's like 5 replies .. and there isnt even that many replies that are negatively put
i dont know the story of what happen, and this is the only time ive heard about brecht personally ... i never believe 1 source, but when you starting hearing something consistently ... you take notice
i know Miramar VW/Audi has many many many many many many issues ... but ive also been hearing some good things about them lately too
anyways, dont blame SCE as a whole about anything ... and even still ... everyone has a right to their own opinions around here
i dont know why people like to blame the whole, "SCE" when people just want to voice their own opinions, they have their right to do so

Everything has been said, in the article, that we took the time to read. What are we supposed to do? Reserve judgement until we talk to this woman and Brecht individually? No, that's unreasonable. What you'll notice is that it's just one side of the story...it's all in quotes, and seems to be written by the customer herself, which would undoubtedly explain the lack of wrongdoing on her part, and the way the sale staff handled the situation. If you went to a dealership with multiple young children and were told "no" by a sales person after driving 45 miles, I bet you wouldn't just smile and say "okay", and I bet she didn't either. That doesn't change the fact that she wasn't satisfied at the dealership, and felt treated unfairly, so she wrote up a transcript of what went down her way.
and who the hell buys from a dealership 45 miles away? I'd want the company responsible for producing the car within 10 minutes drive or tow, just in case...

Well apparently she got the car from another dealership (Craig? I forgot the name) but she went to Brecht instead for some reason.

my family has bought cars 50 miles away on many occassions, mainly because the local dealerships didnt have exact car/spec or they didnt want to give a reasonable price
exactly, my dad's 337, only one left was Miramar VW had one, they wanted a $5k market, we said screw that, and drove up to OC
