Well, over the weekend was the BMWCCA driving school up in Fontana. Sunday however we ran into a big problem. We had a radiator mount fail on us, which caused the radiator to slam into the cooling fan. Began a reasonably fast leak. By the time we noticed, well it was too late and the engine died.

see the two small holes at the bottom of the radiator. The fan cut it up.

Sadly the engine didn't make it.
Burnt a valve in cyl 4

no temp gage?

There's one. It happened in a series of turns coming back out onto the oval. By the time we looked down at the gauge on the straight it was too late.

Thanks all. Been planning for the upgrade for a little while now. So just need to accumulate a few more parts.
