Our family is great around the holidays. We get tamales from one side and lasagna from the other. People that just get turkey or ham this time of year don't have any idea what they are missing. I just wish they made this stuff more often.

Near you... not sure.
You could always drive westward over to monterey park. They have a ton of great dim sum places in that area.

What is DimSum?
Chinese
They bring a bunch of small dishes to your table so you can have a little bit of each thing.
Usually, they have a bunch of carts that they roll around with little metal steamer baskets of different things in them. They ask you what you want from the cart and put it on your table and stamp your bill to say what you ordered. Its nice because you can get a bunch of different stuff in small quantities. Its actually very affordable too.

Why do you think we have the sig rules here? :p
People used to make big ass sigs and they would be animated and just crazy. It got to be that you were just scrolling through sigs looking for posts after you waited for all that stuff to load. We finally had to impose size limits because of how bad it was getting.
We also went through a brief phase were everyones sig was advertising something. For most people, the free ipod thing seemed to be the weapon of choice. We started looking like some sort of tacky internet flea market.

I dunno where you would find a vegetarian tamale in a Mexican Restaurant. Most families make tamales with and without meat but restaurants tend to have the meat ones.
The other problem is, depending on how vegetarian you are, the maza usually contains lard.
