Congrats on the car bro, The MK5 sure is nice, just wait until you get software! My buddy is the sales manager at Capo, he only works Fri-Sun though.

Wonder If I can make a deal for one when I come back to SD.....I know I'll probably be upside down...but I'll also be saving $700.00 ~ 800.00 a month in gas cause both the wife and i work here......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Congrats to all who have Candy White GTI's!!!!

Thanks Guys!!!! I love this car!! I got a europlate on already(to cover the holes the dealer put in for a plate ). Next up, suspension :D I'm at work now, but I'll post more pics as soon as I get a chance

I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna just save the money for a coilover kit, or if I should just put some mild springs(something like eibach) on the stock shocks. Just until I save enought for coils. I'm probably gonna do that. Or go with H&R sport springs

DarkstaR

you looking for an agressive-look drop? if so go with Eibach Sportline or H&R Super Sports!

I wanna do something where I won't have to immediately get new shocks, something that'll hold until coils. Are those okay with stock shocks?

I got Eibach prokit springs on mine on stock shocks, They are fine and won't cause any problems due to the mild drop. I will be at the In&Out meet so you can see.

yeah, either the Eibach Pro-kit or the Eibach Sportline or the H&R Super Sports are all fine. neither of them will blow. They should last untiil you decide to get coils (the same exact situation I'm in)

Okay cool, I'll see you there  How about a little lower like H&R, do you think that would be okay? How's the ride with the eibachs?

the ride with my eibach sportline is great. ride quality is overall good. sure, you can notice a small difference but nothing too drastic. i know a guy from the City VW dealer here in San Diego off the 5. he has the H&R super sports with 19" LM reps and he says they handle like a champ. oh and just recently he got some Bilstein sport shocks.
