recommend me a vw service department plz!

My buddy's new Jetta has some engine / transmission issue. Bob Baker VW has been trying to solve the problem several times. I want to know if any of you guys know another dealership got a great and knowledgeable service department in San Diego that might find the source of the problem. Thanks for the help:tup:

Miramar Vw/ audi are a good shop...there a stealer ship so are pricey, but they know there ish...

then theres all german auto, non dealership....dont particualy speciize on vw...but they are still a superb shop

I've only been to City VW, but their service dept seems pretty knowledgeable about stuff. Talk to Jack Daniels (real name!) or a guy named Shane; I've dealt with the both of them in the past.

Shane is awesome. So is Tony. (both at City)

I've had pretty good experiences with Miramar as well.

i think dealership wise, definitely hit up Shane at City VW, his tech's will take care of you

City VW is probably the best VW service department in SD. Request Tony Woods be your tech - he's their #1 problem solver.

+2 for Jack service writter - worked with him before - great guy - so far I have been pleased with City VW - The parts depeartment at the one in Encinitas has been easy to work with as well the couple of times Ive had to go to them for parts, not sure on their service department .......Tell Jack you saw him mentioned on socaleuro.com I think he knows there a few of us that go to him

I will forward those recommendation to him. He was a Honda guy but he switched to VW after seeing what i've done to my Jetta (which is not much). He loves the car but he is disappointed that he got problem so early from his VW (500miles).
