Do you have a reason to put a splitter on your lip? Are you going to start tracking it and need the down force? If not it'll be a ricer move in my opion. Go before show...

I am of the opinion that if you like it, then do it. I know that peer pressure can be a bitch, but it should be a reflection of your taste not someone elses. Personally I like the way it works. I disagree with the function over form notion, being my own personal opinion of course. Rice to me would be putting R32 badges on a Rabbit with an automatic. Who cares if it is functional? If you like the way it looks, and it fits in with your modding scheme just go for it

i like it, but that car needs side skirts to pull it off

With sideskirts, then yes. Do it. Without sideskirts, then no. Don't do it.

Too much front with nothing on the sides and back to match looks lame unless it's strictly for function.

well i have 337 side skirts that need to go on so assuming skirts then what?

Well if you already have skirts ready to go on soon, then go ahead and get the splitter. Just don't install it until after the sides are on.

EDIT: If you plan on running adjustable turnbuckles with your splitter, please mount them the correct way which is vertically instead of diagonal as shown in the example pic you provided.

Makes the front end look beefy that is...maybe when you get the rest of the kit it will look better.

I would just do a GLI lip or something a little more OEM'ish and low key, thats overkill and all show, if it were actually working, it would rip your bumper off, we used to run this one on our 993TT we used to run in GT1, I could stand on it and I weigh 250 lbs, but then again, at 2100lbs and 720RWHP, it needed all the downforce it could get.

When Scotts car is done we should just name it Project SoCalEuro since most of us have thrown our $0.02 in on what he should and shouldn't do to it.

And Scott should throw a check our way for all the "consultation"!

it'll probably be stolen by ricers the day after you install it. Thats what happened to the poor guy who did it on his GLI.

I dont see how this is possible, considering it's screwed into the front bumper in multiple locations...it'd mean someone would have to lay on the ground with a tiny screwdriver and undo every screw...good luck to 'em
