The fire station down the street from me is the command post where all of the fire trucks meet when there are huge fires. I would say probably about 20 or 30 have gone by today since 6am this morning.

yea i remember those fires i was on cruise in the persian gulf and my family had to leave our home.

Yeah, we were evacuated for 2 days... the fire jumped the 15 freeway less than a mile south of our place.

Just saw a press conference - they are no where near contained and tomorrow there is supposed to be 80 mph winds! :(

I just read in the UT that the Harris Fire (near Tecate) is 3000 acres and the Witch Fire (near Julian) is 4000 acres!!!

When I was walking Haley around 5:30 there was ash flying around (Mira Mesa).
