Any idea how to do an actual fresh satellite image of the socal area? That would be dope. I remember seeing one for the Cedar fire.

Crazy... Uh, Bugzy, does your friend have the site at which this map was pointed to? I been looking for a map like this all day, nothing.

Thanks a ton, I been watching abc 7 literally all day.. that bored and interested.

Would be great to check out the site which this came from, unless this link always updates, which I kinda doubt. Than again, it shows it's updated by Ron L, I guess it's just the work of another interested person.

Surveillance cameras are thick with ashes.. can't see outside =\

It is a constantly-updated map generated by the LA Times.

I've trying to use this one:

http://www.firedetect.noaa.gov/viewer.htm

Haven't yet been able to drill down all the way to see if it shows all the way to the live terrain.

Pretty close to it, thanks.

I am trying to find some more info on the Rice fire, Just north of the 76 by the 15. It seems to be one of the least reported on by all the news agencies. It is directly east of my house by about 5 miles over hilly terrain and still moving. No evacuations yet.

It sucks because I had to leave for work and am in SD now waiting to start shift. So I get to sit in an ambulance all night while my mom is at home worrying about the house. My brother is attempting to cut across De Luz canyon to get home from Temecual as the 15 is shut down from Temecula..

Two pictures I took yesterday... on my way back from school (from Pomona to San Bernardino):

Tipped over semi's 1 of the 5 I saw on the 210. Yep thats smoke in the background.
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r142/andiesavestheday/Photos/P1020786.jpg

Here is the 15 north about 1-2 miles from the 210 intersection. Looking into the SB mountains...
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r142/andiesavestheday/Photos/P1020785.jpg

It still smells like smoke over here... the winds died down... and i'm contemplating doing some yard work... bunch of trash and leaves and debris everywhere...

I think since many of the people we know on here have had to evacuate and are faced with losing their homes and property, the least of anyones concerns is that you are late for work.

For some reason did you 'think', 'assume' that I was trying to downplay these natural disasters happening? Please, dont try to make me look bad. It wont work.

Well if you want it that way, then have it that way, you picked a poor time to try and be funny which shows a lack of good judgment on your part, not to mention I don't have to make you look bad, you do a fine job of it yourself, good day sir.

I think you would be the last person around here to even speak the words 'good judgement' anyone here knows that based on your post history.

Who said I was being funny? I sure dont think that being very late to work and almost getting let go is funny, but you can probably see the humor in anything. Ya know since your a know-it-all and all. Did you happen to see a smiley face or a 'lol' next to my post Mike? Maybe a stupid avatar with a thumbs up to lighten up the situation?

Your over dramatic and you need to stop.

I say... good day to you sir!

mike

Your the jackass that runs his fuckin mouth in every post, looks like I'm not the only one who that thought it wasn't funny.

Me over dramatic, I think not, I just get a good laugh at people like you.

So you said being late to work and almost getting canned isn't funny, yet you post a smiley face and a picture? Good job, way to contradict yourself, keep it up, that shit hole of yours keeps getting deeper, the more you say, the harder it will be to get out.
