I heard the single Vertigo. They do sound like they are going back their roots. I saw them for the first time last year on the "All that you can't leave behind" tour and I would have to say that they are THE best live performance I have ever seen.

i think Bono is the only one that can start a song off by saying..."1...2....3...14..." and get away with it sounding cool. =P
the album is good so far.....got it about a week back.

I got it a couple weeks ago. All I have on my ipod is Achtung Baby, Best of 1980-1990, and How to Dismantle.....
The new album fits right in with the other stuff. I like it and recommend it.

You guys do realize that there are other songs on the album, right? And that not every song starts off that way?

I realize that... I just didn't understand the point of that... I do like there other songs... that song is a little played out.. I get tired of hearing stuff over and over on the radio...

hence the reason i only listen to CD's....not one of the radio stations i've heard here in cali are any good
let me rephrase that....the only good station they had was 94.1 when it first came on the air and was nothing but 80's music, too bad they changed thier format

well you aren't what i'd call the epitome of taste, so your idea of what is good when it comes to music has absolutely no effect on me

I take back what I said. I gave the new CD a full listen today and it's not bad. I may even burn it and throw it in the changer.
It's just that Vertigo song that's whacky :D
