I need help guys. My avalance is going to get repainted due to a sandstorm.
I dont know what I want to do for paint.
I cant figure out if I want 2 tone with black on the top or the bottom can anyone pchop it for me both ways?
I am also going to get wheels and I cant figure out what I am going with there. There are so many choices....
in the mix of all this I am going to do a 2/3 drop on it too.
What to do What to do???????
Chip Foose Design with silver on top. I am actually thinking a darker color like below.

Here is what gave me the idea. I am not too hot on the swoosh. I think I would like to have a strait line with something airbrushed inbetween. maybe a brushed alum. stripe or something.

I am thinking of shaving the roofrack also....... not sure though

Pics of my avalance are to come right now along with some of my wheel selections. If anyone has any good ideas let me know please. if it is somehting really good I will do it. then you can tell everyone that you told me to do that haha

I'd say for a 2 tone job the darker colors always look better on the bottom half....

it's allright...it's your choice bro. I'm sure it will look good either way if the colors are right ;). I'm just stating my preference :D
You still running air?
duberforlife
10-26-2007, 09:46 PM
here is the bumper that I like...
http://www.sporttruckdirect.com/Pics/SSE/SSE_07_Tahoe_Gen1_SS_BC_SG_G.jpg
I am not going to run air right now. too much $$$$$$$ about 4 grand for everything. I am going to go with a small drop for now and when I have the coin I will go with air. Air would be nice but I cant justify it right now....
SYNYSTAGLI
10-26-2007, 09:52 PM
Thats definitely a step above the bumper in the other shot! Looks good. For some reason I thought you had already got AIR on your ride...could have swore you posted up about it a while ago, this old age just plain sucks :D

Nope, my homie was running them on his Escalade and that shit looked proper....he had to spend some coin on brakes though as stopping power with 26's is nill on OEM

24 or 26 though? 24 cheaper wheels cheaper tires can get away with doing the brakes later 26 looks better def. new brakes.....

Depends what you want, you want to cruise and look like a baller go with 26's. He spent loot on getting them repaired both trips he made to Las Vegas.
If you drive her all the time and still want looks the 24's would still be sick ;) and you probably could go without a brake upgrade for a little while....but not too long :D

I think on any 2 tone the darker color on the bottom is always going to look better. It's just my preference, post up a poll If you can't make up your mind..lol
The first shot you posted looks good to me ;)

10-26-2007, 10:47 PM
man i like those asanti wheels..... so definitly the gray on the bottom is out...... maybe the top dont i like the dubs too wtf i cant make up my mind... both are $$$$ unless someone knows where i can get a deal on them..

10-26-2007, 11:44 PM
you should try and get forged rims... even if you can only afford forged 22's or 24's instead of chrome 24's / 26's, i'd go that route.
also, i dig dark color on top for 2-tone. And you GOTTA pinstripe the break
I am speechless haha

Can anyone see brakes through those wheels!?!?!?! Upgrade the brakes son! You need to stop that much metal when it is traveling at highway speeds.

Paul, here you go. It could have been a lot better working from hi-res pics, but you'll get the point. Also, the front bumper's not the greatest but considering the angles of the source didn't match, it's not too bad.
