Here is my 1998 GTI VR6
145k miles
Timing Chains done
Transmission replaced this december
Motor Mounts replaced last summer
Clutch Replaced at 125k
Just paid Registration and Re-Smog
Drives great, runs strong, just did an oil change(always with synthetic.. Mobil 1 or Lubro Moly)
AC runs perfectly
Leather + Paint in awesome condition
LIGHTLY MODDED:
-Techtonics Tuning Exhaust(have a test pipe if you want it also.. stock cat is in right now)
-Bilstein shock/Struts
-H&R Race Springs
-Diesel Geeks Short Shifter
-Painted Stock Sideskirts/Front Lip/ and rear Lip to match(looks MUCH better this way)
-DUAL Headunit with removable faceplate/ bluetooth capabale/ iPod cable installed/ and remote
-Kenwood Speakers all around

The Bad(few minor):
-CEL is on, throwing the code PO171 System Lean (bank 1). The possible culprit for this CEL is possibly the MAF and 02 sensors. I replaced the MAF + purge valve last week, however this did not solve the problem. So next to be checked is the 02 sensors. I am out of money right now so im selling the car as is.
-Cruise Control does not work
-Needs replacement cigarette/12v socket(shorted out a while back)
-Brake Light Indicator in Dash (stays on due to bad ebrake sensor..no big deal), also a tiny little coolant leak on one of the hose joints.
-Lastly. The car did have one incident of slight damage in december last year. I was driving home from the gym during a major rain storm and the car lost traction in the flooded streets, and the Front Driver's side wheel hit the curb at about 20mph and cracked the bottom left corner of the bumper. DONT WORRY, i went through insurance and got everything checked out. There was no problem fixing it. They just had to replace a few parts and gave me a brand new bumper and rim. The car does not have Salvage title. It was a very minor incident.
-Does need to get a few new tires right now if you dont mind, i can drop off a little from the price
