I thought about buying one, but i decided to go with Britax??? Less hassle when you fly, since they are certified as flight safe. But def not as cool as these.

Yeah..I am tring to find out if the Recaros are commercial airline approved..

We have the seats in the showroom so if anyone wants to see em feel free to roll by.

We are also about to get 6-8 regular recaro seats on display as we have been opened up as a direct Recaro dealer.

I had the older version of the Recaro Start child seat, my son grew an opinion and said he didn't like it. :( Got rid of it, got an AlphaOmega to replace it and he's been happy with that. The Recaro didn't have much adjustment in the way of recline angle, and when my son fell asleep, his head pitched forward with no support. That was my only complaint about it. It fit perfectly in my Corrado back seat, was a big plus.

I think they may have changed it slightly now because now it has an adjustable recline knob that lifts the bottom front section of the seat to give it some recline angle and now the headrest can be raised as the child grows. That is too funny that he decided he did not like it..kids do not pull any punches and say things straight up. Gotta love it though...

Here is the info I received from one of the representatives from Recaro

All of the Recaro child seats that have the 5 point harness are legal and certified for airline use.

Here is another good option from Recaro that works for kids weighing 5-70 lbs. It can be used as a backwards facing seat when the child is 5-35 lbs and as a forward facing seat when the child weighs 20-70 lbs List price is $289.00

Yeah..we are still selling the Recaro seats on a regular basis.
So basically they are a very similar seat but one has manual adjustment and one is a belt style adjustment.
Here are links to the spec charts for both seats so you can compare the two seats.

hope that helps...

FYI..the young sport is probably the most popular due to it's versatility...take a look at that one as well.
