Ya, i know...

Ive got to pay around 6k for paintwork, and a new top, so i am trying to find something under a grand.

If you are coming to the Alex Roy event, you will prob see it there.

oh, im only 17, its hard to come up with money as fast as i would like to spend it, and looks come before enhancing (already amazing) performance.

Group 5 Motorsports. Sounds like Troy might be able to give some input here.

best bet is Troy @ group5

since the SL500 is normally aspired, you might be limited to power gains

if it was me, id look for exhaust, i love to hear V8's exhaust note :)

you can check out mine on the M5 ;)

the exhaust really starts to howl when you push it, so an upgraded system would be awsome. I am a little bit afraid of compromising driveability, but a moderate upgrade could really work.

hahahahahahahaa.

Im looking at doing endurance driving when i am old enough to participate in rallys (1 more year!) so im a bit concerned about droning.

My dad used to have a maserati coupe with Tubi exhaust, and it was loud enough to set off car alarms when we drove by, i dont need a cop-magnet like that.

I would do a semi-subtle exhaust, or even better, a setup with a adjustable exhaust cut-out valve. That way i could choose my own volume.

best way to get acceleration out of that car is adding a differential.

troy can't do anything w. that car but offer you a air filter.

Im not having frequent wheelspin issues, and i heard there was a chip out for it. If not, i will at least do exhaust.

anything you do there will be a waste of money... might as well get some 19s and springs IMO

Its actually going in at the end of the week for bilstein shocks and H&R Sport springs. its a 1.3inch drop. I am going to put on a good set of brakes next year i think.

Yes, thats why im putting on a 1.3" drop, and not something super intense. The car sat for 10 years (no joke) and needed new suspension anyways, it was so soft that it would spin the rear outside tire, because of weight transfer. And i know its not a racecar, which is why i dont have a roll-cage or stripped out interior :drama:
