I bought my old GTI from them back in June of 2004. Great salespeople then. Not sure about now though.

My Golf was whacked at a stoplight three Thanksgivings ago, and I had it towed to City for body and mechanical repairs. They put it back together as good as new...
...with one exception. The repaint on the front bumper and leading edge of the hood did not hold up very well at all. 30k miles later, with less than 100k total miles, the affected areas looked worse than many VWs I've seen with 200k-300k miles or more.
I guess City would be my 2nd choice among SD County VW dealerships. But I have no personal experience at all with most of them. I only know what I hear, and I don't know whether to believe all of that.

Never used their service department, but I did buy my GLI new there. John (salesman) and Josh (manager) are super cool guys, and I would recommend anyone to go see them if they are looking to buy a car. Don't be fooled by the small lot, they have a storage facility too, eventhough they only had 4 GLIs on the lot, the had a lot more to pick from in their storage, where I found exactly what I was looking for.

they might have used a respray service that simply paints on top of the damaged area
ONLY way to properly paint your car is at a paint shop that properly paints the bumper
if they are mobile, that will not last
ill bet they hired a mobile bumper repair guy to come out
