Rims on my Z4? [Archive]

Hey Guys, I want to replace my OEM Turbine Style rims (8x17) on my Z4, with a better aftermarket rim. :D..

As of now, I was thinking to remove my BBS RX's (8X18) from my E36 and use those, or just buy a new set of (8x18) SSR Comps GT3's, Satin Finish?

Just wondering if you guys have any thoughts of what other style rim looks good on Z4, Any opinions would help???

Thanks!!, and how the heck have you and the family been? fine I hope. It's been awhile.

Anyways, I picked up the Z about a week ago, it's a 2004 2.5i 6 Spd SMG, Steel Gray Metallic. It was a dealer owned car, and I got a great price for it that I could not pass, but before I could buy the Z, I had to buy the wife an X3 first.... Being married and all, you know how all that works....So everybody is happy now....:D

All and all, hope to see you at Fusion sometime. Hey, I still got the E36....and its for sale...:D....

Hey after looking and looking for rims, I think I found a decent set at a great price....
They are 18" x 8.5" ADR Type 79 with a gun metal finish....

At least the BBS's and ADR's are a better looking replacement than my Turbine Style stock rims...:(

Where the fuck have YOU been???

but back on topic. I think a staggered set of Breyton Spirit replicas would look very clean on the Z4. probably a set of 19s and lower it about 1.5 inches and it will look very nice.

Cool. But whatever you do end up going with, I'm sure it will be tasteful when you look at how you've modded your W202 and E36. :tup2:

After work, I tried swapping my 8"x18" BBS rims from my E36, with my Z4. The BBS's did fit onto the Z4...:(, but the OEM 17"x8" Turbine Style rims did not fit too well on my E36 :confused:, different offsets which resulted with contact with my E36 Coilovers. Also, with the 18" wheels on the Z4, and for a much better look, it looks like I will have to lower it, thinking of KW Variant 3...

Anyways, here are two pics of my car, so if anyone of you out there with exceptional PhotoShop skills, and want to help an old man out, I would appreciate your creativity of what rims look the best on this car....:D

Anyways, the 18 inch BBS's rims from my E36 are now off and mounted on the Z4 http://socale36.com/forum/Smileys/more/buttrock.gif....The e36 now has 17 inch M3 LTW's, and the car is still for sale....

Anyways, the mods for the Z4...

Already installed...

BavAuto 3-Piece Clear Acrylic Wind Screen,
3 Inch Mangowalk Stubby Antenna...:D

This weekend will be the Full Front Bumper/Fender & Headlight 3M Clear Bra install at Bumper Doc...

Next Month....

OEM Tower Strut Brace - Front & Rear Cross Drilled Rotors
H&R Coil Over Suspension - H&R Front & Rear Sway Bars

and that'll be it...:tup:
