The BMW Club Racing team based at Bullet Performance in Costa Mesa, Ca. completed 615 laps to win by 5 laps over the Honda of PDQ at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, Ca. It was an overall great effort by the team and a terrific job by the driver team of Marc Ghafouri, Mickey Miller, Brett Strom, Ralph Warren and Travis Weltzien to avoid trouble throughout an event filled night.
The win, which was the 2nd 25 Hour win for Miller and Weltzien, was the first for Ghafouri, Strom and Warren as the team made very few mistakes throughout the 25 Hours of racing. The car held up very well mechanically, with no failures of the engine, transmission and particularly the rear diff. as the unit provided by DiffsOnLine ran all 25 hours without a problem.
The Nitto Tires also contributed heavily to the win. Driver Brett Strom commented "I can't say enough about how great the Nitto tires were during the race. I ran a session at 8am with tires that were anywhere from 4 to 9 hours old on the car. The consistent grip level of the tires was amazing."
TV Coverage will be on Redline TV on Dec. 18th on Speed Channel.
