If anything, take Advil or something of that nature. Squeeze your wife's hand! Also, the rib area is one of the worst places to get tattooed. Good luck!

haha yeah. well if you want to get real crazy, you can get some kind of topical numbing cream. i don't think you can just pick that up at a drug store though. get a prescription from your doc.

Yes, the ribs are one of the worst spots. That is why you should get it over with. ;) My friend tattooed a girl's ribs about a week ago and it was her first. She took it really well.

Todays work. Even though its only been a few months since finishing the other arm, god damn I forgot how much some areas hurt. The ditch are on the inside elbow is fucking murder. Todays work. Even though its only been a few months since finishing the other arm, god damn I forgot how much some areas hurt. The ditch are on the inside elbow is fucking murder. The hardest thing to do is decide on a design. Meaning is key. Ive been looking for a shop to do some work on my hip that ive been thinking about for the last 4 years or so. Seems like tat shops are flakey! I found a guy that will come to your house and does black light work as well but you cant get him to call you back. Apparently there is alot of work out there. Ive called other shops that I know nothing about just to get an idea and nobody answers their phone. Hell of a way to run a business.

Might have to fly back to Hawaii to get more work done. :rolleyes:

He is covered in tattoos, so it doesn't really matter. I doubt he will mind the lightsabers. What do you want to get done?? The shop my friends work at/own is definitely not flakey. Don't get tattooed by someone that makes house calls. Very unprofessional and not clean. Black light tattoos get really itchy and are a novelty. Let me know what you want and maybe we can set you up with an appointment at my buddy's shop. :tup2:

Theres lots of worthy shops. Since your closer to SD theres 451tattoo, Guru, Black Rose.

My personal favorite shop is Guru they are amazing artists (not in a they just tattoo way) but all are gifted painters and mixed media artists. They arent cheap but you pay in quality.

Im also gonna say that meaning isnt that important. None of my tattoos until my left arm have had any meaning to me other than its humorous. I wont regret it, I dont regret anything. MY left arm is all just bands i like.

I hate tattoo shows because they tend to reinforce the idea that all tattoos have to have a story. I had a dude all interested in my shit one and he wanted to know the meaning to it all and when I told him there was none, he walked away before I could finish the statement.

It's on my left side from arm pit to waist line. I've been told it's a big tat for a first one, but i disagree. Go big or go home. I had it done at a place called Visual Tattoo in Arcata (way up north).
