Dear Civilians,

We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation have many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas we would like your assistance with:

1 The next time you see an adult talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem ... kick their ass.

2 When you witness firsthand someone burning the American Flag in protest... kick their ass.

3 Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these Veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these Veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a Disabled Veteran kicks their ass.

4 (GUYS) If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDU's), telling others that you used to be "Special Forces," and collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay if you were still seven. Now, it will only make you look stupid and get your ass kicked.

5 Next time you come across an Air Force member, do not ask them, "Do you fly a jet?" Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ass kicking (children are exempt).

6 If you witness someone calling the U.S. Coast Guard non military, inform them of their mistake...and kick their ass.

7 Roseanne Barr's singing of the National Anthem is not a blooper...it was a disgrace and disrespectful. Laugh, and sooner or later your ass will be kicked.

8 Next time Old Glory (U.S. flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her...of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe ass kicking.

9 What Jane Fonda did during the Vietnam War makes her the enemy. The proper word to describe her is "traitor." Just mention her nomination for "Woman of the Year" and get your ass kicked.

10 Don't try to discuss politics with a military member or a veteran. We are Americans and we all bleed the same regardless of our party affiliation. Our Chain of Command, is to include our commander in Chief. The President (for those who didn't know) is our CIC regardless of political party. We have no inside track on what happens inside those big important buildings where all those representatives" meet. All we know is that when those civilian representatives screw up the situation, they call upon the military to go straighten it out. The military member might direct you to Oliver North. (I can see him kicking your ass already.)

11 "Your mama wears combat boots" never made sense to me ... stop saying it! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and probably kick your ass!

12 Bin Laden and the Taliban are not communists, so stop saying "Let's go kill those Commie's!!!" And stop asking us where he is!!!! Crystal balls are not standard issue in the military. That reminds me ... if you see anyone calling those damn psychic phone numbers; let me know, so I can go kick their ass.

13 Flyboy (Air Force), Jar Head (Marines), Grunt (Army), Squid (Navy) etc, are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. Could get your ass kicked.

14 Last but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends please remember that there are, literally, thousands of sailors and troops far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our country would get its ass kicked.

this is ridiculous. . . i have the highest respect for military members.

BUT

burning the flag is a constitutionally-protected right. . . that same constitution you are sworn to protect.

"kicking someone's ass" is against several laws. . . those same laws you are fighting to protect.

etc.

Amen brother, the only way a flag is to be burned is with respect, and done in strict accordance with the regulations to thouse flags which have been so badly damaged that they need retirement. By NO means should you think that "ill just burn this old thing" an i agree you should get your asskicked for it. anyone see that thing on the news about the guy took down the mexican flag that they put OVER the american flag in the USA. a vet, with a very military K-Bar ( you guys know what it is) and then took the american flag an told them they could go to hell before they got it back. ok ok, im done, to agrovated about crap like that jus the sheer disrespect of it pisses me off to no avail....

you can argue it whatever way you want, but, fact of the matter is, people are constitutionally-free to burn the flag and you have NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO say at all if people choose to do it. . .(i am NOT in any way saying I condone it. . . simply put, i respect the authorities decision that flag burning is a constitutionally-protected right under the 1st amendment)

kicking ANYONE's ass for ANY reason mentioned above is both illegal and poses civil liability. . . these are the laws of the wonderful country that we all choose to live in and you choose to protect.

still doesnt change the fact that if someone has any patriotism.

a patriot WILL NOT burn a flag of the country he loves.

and kicking someones ass is illegal no matter the circumstances....but we've all done it (or some of us have had it done....LOL)

You just love to play Devil's Advocate don't you? I tend to quote something I heard somebody say while I was in Portland, Or (pretty liberal, we couldn't even wear our uniforms to the Fed building cus if hairy legged women j/k...).

Anyhow, quote is... The few, the proud, the Marines... Protecting your right to protest since 1775! People are frequently protesting with a point and I am all for it. But then there are people that are just ignorant... and even though it is my job to protect their right to protest, when they get ignorant, or burn flags... they still deserve their ass kicked.

The way I grew up, if somebody disrespected your family, mom, little brother, dad, etc... they didn't have to do anything illegal to deserve their ass kicked.. and nobody died protecting what your family stood for.

Kids can get suspended for playing "tag" at school b/c it picks on the "weaker kids", but it is illegal to punch somebody in the face for committing an act that is equivalent to spitting in your own?

Play Devil's advocate all you want, and I won't be kicking any flag burners' asses, but it won't mean they don't deserve it.

Awesome man... I would like to add something to the list... Upon finding out someone is in or has been in the Military, quit immediatley asking them their opinions on the war in Iraq, and quit telling them the war is for nothing, or you will, regardless of law, get your ass kicked.

Ed's got a point

The "ass kicking" thing may have been a joke. Maybe the intent was just to show that people still believe in patriotism rather than encourage violence. I could be wrong though.

well, the whole flag burning thing, i guess it depends on who's burning it and why. I mean, if some citizen is burning it, i would question him/her and kindly ask them to not do that at all, depending if they are burning it other than ceremonially. It may be their right, but i did not go to war to see my brothers in arms die for that. Its like watching them burn to ashes. I would let those folks know what i see in their flag burning. If they continue on their little path of destruction without remorse, then im gonna unleash my own path of destruction upon them. As a protector of these rights, it is my right to do so. Now there may be laws against it, but do you really think that is going to stop me from unleashing my fury of pain? Just as Tinytolo described, you wouldn't like it if some fool came up to you and desecrated a deceased loved one in front of you by doing something or saying something stupid? Isn't it their constitutional right? My point is even if you don't condone it, don't just stand there and let it be. As a US citizen, you have a moral obligation to do something about it. If not, you have no business being in this wonderful country and i have no business fighting to support your rights. Freedom are for those who fight to protect it, and not just on a level in the battlefield, but in our own country as well, on our soil. And our flag is not some cloth, but a reminder of what this country had lost to become what it is now. And anyone who disrespects that (god given right or not, US citizen or non) is going to feel the pain that our forefathers experienced during this country's early years.

Mr. Bush is burning that flag for all of us and every day. We should protect our flag (us) from him.
I can't say that I don't understand some Iraqis burning our flag. And as for US citizens burning the flag...........Instead of burning things they should start thinking and acting for the better.
