i just wonder if games will be compatible

but with this...its seems that the architecture will be totally different
so maybe not.

but sheesh....6 G5 chips?!!?!
thats insane!!! if this thing is priced similar to the first one....you can say bye bye to the home computer...cuz these will be all hacked up and made into the new home pc for sure!!!!

as far as backward compatibilty they have been saying no. but that can be solved with a simple hack and emulator.

HMMM I'm I the only one here who finds it interesting that Microsoft is using its competitors components.............Apple prob. has so many patents on G5 hardware Microsoft couldn't even come close to a working "G5" chip..........interesting indeed.

joining of the bloods and crips in the computer world LOL

Apple isn't a competitor for Microsoft, they are a minor irritant...or at the very least, independent R&D.
I'd imagine most of the patents on the G5 belong to IBM or Motorola.

I mean, it's not like the next Xbox will be running Linux ...

If you want to talk about your direct competition working together, I personally find it even more interesting that the G5 is an IBM chip.

i don't care if they use 60 486's as long as it's not as big as the last one i'm all good, i still have to get a new entertainment system to put the current one up, until that time, it's a resident at mario's house.
