dude,.....$21k for a 2001 TT? he must be smoking something. . . sure it's modded (means nothing, really, in the used car market). . .

but yeah, $21K? nah, i'd give about 16 for it.

Book on the car is about 16K in excellent shape so he might get another couple of grand for all the mods.

He would really be better off parting it out if he wants to get the most money out of it.

I guess he is really hoping for the "right buyer" meaning some kid with rich parents, to come along and buy it without thinking about the price.

mods do not increase a cars value in my book, they generally detract from it since it has been modified. Nice car though. Its all in the eye of the buyer, if he wants that car with those mods, great, but you seriously narrow your market when selling a modded car like that, you will only attract enthusiasts, and with that, comes their eye for details and mistakes.

exactly.

that's the very reason i never modded a (new) car to that extent. . . any money you dump into your car you are pretty much kissing goodbye upon retail (unless you keep the stock parts and return to stock).

look at my 78 rabbit diesel. . . about $8k into it, and i got $3500 for it.

same basic thing here. . . $16k is what'd i'd pay. . . the range for this car is DEALER retail is about $16k. . . private party is about $14k. . . $16, $17 tops is what this car's worth.

sad state of affairs, really. . .but that's just the market :-\
