my old e39 saved my sisters life this morning. she swerved to miss a deer or something like that, and ended up going head first into and almost 90 degree embankment, then the car spun back around and landed on some rocks in a ditch. this happened around 3:30 this morning in richie canyon, she was coming back from her friends house. qoute from one of the cops "she lucky she was driving a german car or it could have been alot worse"
i gave her the car earlier this year and my dad gave me his passat.
we went got all the stuff we could get out of it later in the day, then sold it to pick a part for 400:(:mad:.
hear it is when it was mine.

Damn, hope your sis is well! I'm sure BMW'd like to hear about the kind words of the officer.

On a lighter note... $400 to pick a part? You could have parted things and got more than that in a week, and still got $400 from pick a part when you got done. Did you not have the time for it?

*EDIT* oh man, I recognize that License plate! Where does/did your sis normally drive around?

i really wanted to do that, but my dad just wanted to hurry up and get rid of it, and dont have the space to do that. but i really wanted to. i took some things off at the tow yard that i know i can get a little for.

Wow, Glad she is okay. E39 is a damn safe car, they are built like tanks, like all BMW's in the last 20 years, they can take a pounding, judging from the core support she must have been doing atleast 50MPH. Anything Japanese or American would have split in half. I have seen alot of wrecked BMW's in my career and they are very safe cars.
