This looks a lot more like a movie car with the grappling hook (or whatever that is) sticking out of the bottom center of the rear bumper. Pretty sweet vehicle

Luckily only a study. The unibody is made of tank-grade steel and the passenger cabin is bullet proof..ok that is nice but it makes the vehicle useless. 5.4 metric tons (11904 pounds) is way to much. Especially when it's powered by a V6 TDI with 225 HP.
It would get stuck in just about every mud hole there is in germany.

It's proposed with the same drive train as a regular Touareg. Gearing might not even be the problem, the pure weight of this vehicle compared to it's practical effect is unreasonable. The German military has already vehicles in service that provide better performance in every aspect while providing even more protection for its passengers.
