Hi guys, I have an idea for a little bit of glovebox fabrication so I can route RCA wires into my glovwbox. However, since the glovebox is $400, I want it to either look professional and OEM, or not cut at all.

So I was thinking of finishing the cut hole with a small grommet, preferably in black plastic, but chrome is a plus. Plastic might be easier to work with since i'm going to cut and sand the back of it to sit flush with the not visible side of the glovebox.

I searched the internet forever, could not find any... The smallest I could find is 1" inside diameter and no small rectangular grommets. However, there were these paper hole square grommets, I guess I could cut in half and than plastic weld the ends to a custom length.

Here is the sizes illustrated in MS paint! (These actual sizes are nice or something near them)

Just open up your front dash or wherever and wire it in the back. I spent 8 hours last weekend tearing out my entire interior. It's easier than it looks.

your local hardware store should have rubber grommets, I know Home Depot has them...cabinet fittings section, near the drawer pulls and knobs...weird place, I know...but its where they keep all the little tiny odds/ends hardware shtuff...try not to laugh too hard when you see a drawer full of Bungs.

You can try an electronics store as well. I doubt Radio Shack would have them, but a place like Frys and also an actual Electronics place that does repairs and carries supplies..in the OC area, Ball Electronics I know has them...well good luck..
