Just found this site and wanted to say hi.

I'm in Orange County. I have an '07 GTI that I've been slowly modifying for Open Road Racing.

Looking forward to meeting new people, maybe I'll see some of you at Irvine Spectrum since I live close by.

Welcome. What are you doing to get it ready for open road racing?

Since I'm a Rookie I'm only looking to enter the Grand Touring 115MPH Class/140MPH Tech Speed.

I'm doing Suspension, Exhaust, Big Brakes, Z/ZR Rated Tires, Engine and Chip. I'm also adding a Race Rollbar, 6-Point Harness and 2.5liter Fire Suppression System.

Currently I've only done exhaust and suspension. Many other parts are on order. Other parts are here and I need to put them on.

Drive slow. You'll probably miss it the first time down the street. The sign for their address is maybe a foot off of the ground and the size of a shoe box. Look for the computer repair sign for the guys next door or a parking lot full of VWs and Audis. Ron and Scott are the best.

Open Road Racing will keep my car street legal. It'll be on extremely safe car for daily commuting too with the roll cage, fire extinguisher system, 6-point harness and such.

We just had a late night PCH drive which was fun but not Ortega yet. They are doing a lot of construction on Ortega right now anyways. Julian is a really fun place to drive. It is just east of San Diego. We should set up a Julian cruise soon! :tup:
