i had to get a new sensor...i used autometers guage and they have a kit that comes with a new sensor with the correct wires...on my MKIV there was like 5 or 6 wires on the existing sensors and the gauge used 3...so i just welded on a new bung and hooked up the sensor to that for a clearer reading...good luck

I would just run another sensor. You wouldn't believe how much the ecu relies on that o2 sensor for proper fueling. Would'nt feel good tampering with that sucker.

x2 on that...just either get the kit they already have or you can go to any auto store and buy a universal o2 sensor and weld on another bung and go from there

a second sensor will give you the best reading possible typically you want it either in the collector or just past the collector of the exhaust manifold depending on your engine
