Hey guys, I'm running a VBOX Group Buy on BimmerForums and wanted to post it here so the SoCal guys can get it on it if you'd like.

Here's the link (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=907956) to the BF.c thread. We have 16 guys in right, only 9 to go for the max discount, and the GB ends at the end of the month. Feel free to post it on other boards.

If we can get 10 buyers we can get 10% off. It's not much, but it's a savings of $50. If you guys want to post this on other forums please feel free to do so. We should be able to a mix of the Performance Box and Drift Box for those interested in the higher end model. The next price breaks will be at 15% for 20, and 20% for 25.

Here is the US website (http://www.vboxusa.com/performancedrift/) and the UK website (http://www.performancebox.co.uk/index.html) if you'd like to find out more information. Here's a good page (http://www.vboxusa.com/performancedrift/compare.php) that compares the different models.

Below are some of the key features:
Actual straight line performance: Measured via GPS (0-60, 0-100, 60-130, 60-0, 0-100-0, ¼-mile etc.)
Horsepower calculation: calculate both wheel and flywheel HP.
Lap Timing: Using GPS, there is no need for an external lap timing beacon. Accurate to 1/10th of a second.
Speed and Compass display: Use it as a super-accurate speedometer, updating 10 times per second, to calibrate or verify your vehicle's speedometer.
The manual (http://performancebox.co.uk/Download/RLPB_Manual-English.pdf) explains how simple everything is to use. This isn't an old school G-Tech Pro, this thing is accurate.

Here's a recent thread (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=902666) by HighboostingM3 (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/member.php?u=14175) about it.

Let me know if you have any questions. I haven't had the chance to try one myself yet, but if I can't answer your question I'll find out for you.

I might be interested in the PerformanceBox if you get enough people for a good discount.

I expect us to hit the 25 mark without a problem, that would be 20% off. Are you in at that price? It would be $400 for the PerformanceBox.

I am very sorry. I have to change my mind. I was major league screwed by work in this pay check and just can't afford it. thanks for the offer though.

Now if you'll excuse me I have a resume to work on because I've totally had it with this place.

Not a problem. We're at 17 and only need 8 more. The GB will keep going until the end of the month so let me know if things improve for you.

Yes, MUCH better than G-Techs. If a calculator watch is a G-Tech, this is a Quad Core PC. :D

Seriously though, G-Techs aren't bad. I have a G-Tech Pro that I've updated with the latest firmware. It's consistent and is a good measuring tool for new mods as long as the road is the same, and as long as I calibrate it correctly every use.

But this needs no calibration, and you can use it as an accurate reporting tool. There's no guesswork. If this says that you do 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, no one can dispute it. The files will not only display altitude at the beginning and ending of the run, it will show the entire run along with time.

Here are a couple screen shots from a buddy's run with his stock E39 M5.
