Since I didn't get to take pictures yesterday... I went outside a few minutes ago and came out with these two. Still messing around with HDR... This is my 2nd attempt at creating these kind of pictures :)

Thanks Barry, Ummm took a couple minutes. Like 3-5 mins for each one... thats including messing around with the Tone Mapping...

hahaha, I always loved the street fighter series... On my trips to Japan, I bought as many Art Books and action figures as I could (also SNK). I have a few... i'm not all "Crazy" about it tho... I open the packages and stuff... But Chun Li is my fav. I have 6 Chun Li figurines :rolleyes:

Here's a tutorial... Baiscally merging a few pictures of the same thing shot at different exposures to catch all the different light and shadows highlights etc.. (http://www.popphoto.com/howto/3038/how-to-create-high-dynamic-range-images-limitations-of-exposure-blending-page6.html)

Thanks bro, this one has 7 exposures but there wasn't enough contrasting colors or range so I converted to B&W.

And make it look like that... when they are in a indoor parking garage... Where do they get so much range? There isn't enough light in there to get any range in lighting... It is over the top... but where does all that light come from...?? A dinky florescent light... :p

Ah ok... well like I said... I went out... and tried again... and this time I was really really disapointed with my results... So I won't embarrass myself and post them. The only shot that I kinda shorta liked is this one:

But I dunno... to me it looks just like a regular picture... nothing done to it... I guess it was the shooting at night. Can someone recommend an exposure range to shoot for night shots??

Oh yea... I did 3 exposures... I actually took 5 different shots... but there wasn't enough change to justify (???) using all 5 so I only used 3...

In the shots I took yesterday... I couldn't balance the picture right... because my car was black and cliff's was white... so either mine looked good but cliffs' car was all messed up or the other way around... Im going to be at school alllllll day today... I'll try again... but this time some structures...

I like it ;) It's weird how I can use the same program and come out with a totally different shot, I even used another HDR program and still they come out wack. It's definitely not an exact science to these HDR shots, whoever has the skills in tweaking the settings will have the better shot. You my friend will be producing shots like that red GTI you posted up soon. Keep at it Andie ;)

looks pretty good... I dont really like the HDRs that are too messed with takes away from the effect when done right. the one with the red gti has too much effect on it making it look fake it is cool nonetheless but i think HDR can render such a cool and dramatic effect when done right imo

My crack at it with Photomatix/CS2 and yea, that other one I was using Dynamic-Photo HDR another free software. I'm sure it might be just as good as PM but more tweaks to learn..

Ugh, I just tired uploading... and every single picture I uploaded didn't upload... Said it was too big... The pictures are 640x480 and saved using CS3's "save to web" feature... I dunno how else to compress them without them losing too much detail...
