Its a 2000 323i
It could be many things, wheel bearing, C-link bushing, diff bushing, axle, parking brake shoes, I would have to hear it, is it constant, or comes and goes?

well sometimes I wont hear it for a week, but the past two days its been bad...the clunking sounds metallic and speeds up faster as I speed up its kinda a clinking/Smacking sound...grab 2 steel hollow poles and smack them together to get this sound...when I hit bout 40mph it goes away...then upon de-acceleration it comes back....so yes it comes and goes
