hey guys, so i might be taking orders to italy and i can only take one car with me. my girl has an 06 honda civic(obviously newer and really dependable than my 97 gti vr) and i'm thinking of selling it before i go. i already have the chains on order and i'm gonna do a flywheel/clutch upgrade too. what else do you guys think i should do to make sure i can get as much as possible from the sale.

it's a sequoia green mk3 vr6. leather interior in great shape. custom stereo including fiberglass custom quarterpanel's in the hatch for a jl w3 10"sub, infinity 6 1/2 front speakers on a seperate amp. it has about 128000 mi, and will have new tires soon. here's what's been done so far:

-water pump about 15000 mi ago
-stracing springs(2" front and rear drop) and kyb shocks
-custom 2.5" exhaust(muffler brand?), but it's really loud
-home-textured bumpers front and rear
-tsw wheels(pretty rashed)
-plug wires
-themostat housing and 70 deg C thermo

here's a couple pics:

Finally going to work on the car so you can sell it. Funny how that stuff works out. I'd definitely put a resonator on that exhaust of yours.

Where you going in Italy? I was in Sicily about 4 to 5 years back & had a blast driving. I think you might rethink about taking the Dub with you being you could most definitely open it up over there.:tup2: But on the same token be sure to at least get a "LOCAL" car with "Cover Plates". My wife & I most definitely enjoyed driving with them on & also you're less of a target when on the roads & when parked, too. Have fun & stay safe over there.

what do you mean a "local" car? no matter what i take over there i'm definitely getting cover plates. every one i talked to says it's definitely the way to go, even though supposedly my registration will be good until it expires here in the US. i meant to put in the post the only reason i'm not sure about taking my car is i can only ship one. and it's like 2 grand to ship one that far, i'm sure i'll pick up a little beater dub while i'm over there. maybe something diesel

dude in italy, I'm sure you could find a running car for less than $500 the first day you're there.

unless you don't speak Italian...in which case....take the VR

yeah, i'm trying to learn some of the speaka before i get there. one thing i forgot to mention my girl doesn't drive stick, i know i can teach her in a second, but i'm worried her lack of experience and a new country might send her for a loop in my car. she prob loves her honda almost as much as i love my car
