MapMyRide Group for SocalEuro

Since we all seem to be 2 wheeling it these days, I created a socaleuro group on map my ride for the bicycle type people on socaleuro to join.

The site is pretty hard to navigate. I'm not really sure what I just signed up for.

The site is pretty hard to navigate. I'm not really sure what I just signed up for.

You signed up for a way to save your training information and save routes you ride.

After your rides, you can put the numbers from your computer into the site and it will keep a training log. It will tell you things like how many kcals you burned.

The cool thing is that you can search for routes other people have made and make your own routes in it. Their tool isn't fantastic but its a nice way to find places to ride. The more interesting rides I've found have been like 50+ miles though. That's a little much for me still. I was thinking more in the 10 to 20 range until I get my legs.

You can also track other activities like running and it will let you trend your weight and heart rate if you monitor them.
