Wtf Half Time Shows???

Really! WTF is going on with the Super Bowl Half time shows?

Ever since Janet Jackson's tit flap "malfunctioned" the shows have been more and more LAME!

Hands down! Prior to, the shows got bigger, better, and more AWESOME on EVERY LEVEL. Now we have taken a plunge to "WTF REVIVE THE BAND" Half time shows.

C'mon!

I mean really, when has a half time show ever been good or meant for a single artist concert, where they finish complete songs?

Where are the special for the Super Bowl productions? The remixes, the multiple party venue, the combined crazy pyrotechnics and stunts. Like the Dorito guy with this dog that landed on the football field in sync with the commercial?

I'm sorry, but "free fallin'" melancholy <-sp? vibe IS NOT Super Bowl-hype-the-crowd music!

Did a half second clip of one crazily pierced breast ruin the legacy of Super Bowl Halftime shows for ever???

What's wrong with rap/hip-hop??

Its usually a bunch of guys that really have no talent. They cant sing, they cant play any instruments, they constantly use other songs as their own.... When live, they sound like crap, all their jibberish rhymes drown out their 808 beats. Very few rappers actually can carry a tune. Sorry..... I just think you need to play actual instruments for it to be music.

As for the halftime show... I had no problem with it. I like Tom Petty.

I feel you. But the way it was said made it seem like rap is such a bad thing. With the current format on how Half-Time shows are, I don't see rap artists being a possibility. It just won't work. If they change back to the old format with multiple acts during half-time, then that's another story.

There are some rap acts out now that take away from rap. But to down it as a whole is nieve. I don't like all bands of all types of music. But usually, there are some from all types of music that I would listen too.

I did notice the use of the word "usually"... so that does detract from being a complete blanket comment.

Rock hall of fame Tom Petty? The man is a musical genius...I actually liked the show this year. The last two years sucked ass. Didn't Jordan Sparks sing the national anthem? I came in with the opening kickoff. I'm just glad the Patriots lost and all those fake ass Boston fans got something now to cry over. I love it and I can now die with a smile on my face.

I missed the 1st quarter, but DVR'd the game. So we started watching when we got home, then by the time we finished watching the DVR'd 2nd quarter, it was time for the 3rd quarter live. perfect timing :tup2:
