don't forget about the new mars volta album that dropped last week: The Bedlam in Goliath. ~ It's the breathtaking 4th full length album from TMV.

They played in Irvine last week too and I have the full length audio from the show if anyone wants it shoot me a PM

back on topic:
Omar Rodriguez Lopez is releasing a solo album tomorrow and I wanted to raise awareness in my area. I even made a little banner that the street teams are using to promote and have myspace users add the new profile

anyways, to all the mars volta and music fans on here check in later because there is going to be an internet broadcast of the listening party where you can preview the new album from Omar titled "Calibration".

(go myspace.com/omarcalibration to listen to parts of the record)

... sooooo excited I'm supposed to be there tonight and I will meet TMV!!!

Awesome, this is good. At the Drive In was good, but TMV is on another level.

I wasn't too wild on TMV's last album...and reverted to ATDI...but Bedlam is going to get some major play while I'm driving the roads up here..

Deloused never left my cd changed since i got it, every track is like whoa.
Amputechture and Frances take time to really get the feel and appreciate but really have some jewels in the midst of the madness.

I learned about TMV before ATDI, but also reverted so to say to ATDI within the last year learning more about the roots of TMV etc.

Bedlam just makes me proud - Cedric performing the new songs on stage is awe inspiring, just super electric dude I had crazy goosebumps and felt like I was on a roller coaster ride during the show (granted i may have been under the influence, but still!!)

I sooo badly wanted to meet the guys after the show last week and even heard they let people backstage in the area we were sittin in after the show =\

It's crazy cuz a Hip Hop DJ we did work for this last year (Psycho Realm, DJ FM) is the one spinning for Omar's listening party ~ i was tripping cuz it's like 2 opposite worlds of mine that came together. Well I gotta still wait n see if I can really go tonight - so yeah check out the new songs from Omar if you like TMV / ATDI

Deloused in the Comatorium is one of the best albums since ATDI. Sparta's was good, but not like Relationship of Command. Gonna have to get this solo album and see...

Bedlam is ok... its WAY better then their last release... way better. It was good to see them last week but I was bored half way through their 2.5hr set. its the same old shit they have done on their last 3 tours.
Omar's solos are progressively more amazing every time I see them, and maybe thats why i pay to see them. Other than that, i was not so impressed.
Omars solo stuff is always good... ill have to check this one out.

dude i was gettin tired too some people around me were starting to sit down n shit ~ but it was my 2nd show (in 1 month too) so the excitement was almost paralyzing during some parts and i was in the 3rd row where cedric came up on the stares. he was RIGHT THERE in front of us... sick really~ and i caught my 2nd wind. you're right about the set list
3 of the songs they have almost performed 100 times live (cygnus, drunkship, and roulette)

but let me add that imo no two shows are different and on stage they improv a lot so you're not bored of the same song over and over.
