Find out with the electoral compass! (http://www.electoralcompass.com/)

I frankly thought I'd be more on the upper right, but apparently based on current issues with the economy I'm slanting left.

And if you want to know, in general, where you lie, regardless of candidates: http://www.politicalcompass.org.

I'm just left of the middle and no candidates are in my circle.

I'm not really all that surprised.

I am just left and above the center. It says I am closest to Ron Paul.
Oh well, whatever.

I would register to vote for Ron Paul... But than I'd have to do Jury Duty for the rest of my life, only to walk in and yell, "HANG THE ****!" every 5 mins ... Pass.

You know having a driver's license is just as risky as registering to vote.

It makes you realize that when it gets to the issues, not everything is as it seems, eh? It gets even more interesting when you uncheck all the issues and select the specific ones or groups, then you'll see some interesting movement across the spectrum.

For instance, McCain moves all the way up to progressive with just the environment issue checked, and both McCain and Clinton are lower left when it comes to national security, and with both checked, the two are very close to origin it makes them look like moderates.

If the election is about three major issues, what would your top 3 be, and how does your sphere of belief jive with the now reshuffled candidates?

My main concern and only concern is the war... I know the next president will probably be unfortunately Hillarity or Osama. Both of which i'm sure are going to pull the soldiers out ASAP. Sounds good, but isn't good.

If we pull out early and leave em like we did the Afghans, we're fked. Than i'm taking my Corrado and flooring it to Canada. Or even worse, nuclear war... I can picture Hillarty or Osama snapping and than saying screw it, launch ze missiles... Than Russia takes advantage of it and launches their WMDs that we never knew about to other countries, than kimmy in Korea joins in; within hours the earth is leveled and went out in a fizzle.

If either Dem wins the presidential election, I seriously doubt they will be able to remove our armed forces from Iraq over anything like one year. A staged withdrawal over two to three years is more likely and I think favored by most of the nation -- the problem with current policy is the continued insistence that we would stay until the job is done without saying when the job is done or how to even define what they mean when the job is done. McCain plans the exact same thing -- only he calls it timetables to completion versus timelines to withdrawal. Words are cheap -- when it comes to Iraq, do not think for one second that any of the forerunners have a marked difference in actionable policy.

Pretty interesting scenario -- sure you can picture it, but I can also picture a horse with wings in the starry sky (well, maybe not me, but a bunch of people did way back when), it doesn't make it any more likely, and that scenario is really far out there.

What would you like to happen in Iraq? You say, "Sounds good, but isn't good.", what do you think would be good? What do you think would be the best scenario or solution?

It better not be saying screw it and launching ze [sic] missiles, because that's what you just used to lambaste the Dem candidates. ;)

You have big opinions that are based on a lack of good information. Those are the worst voters IMO. You also contradict yourself a lot?

As far as voting and jury duty... As Streamline pointed out, voting isn't the magic ticket to jury duty. I lived in CA a year before I registered to vote and got jury duty before I registered. Don't let jury duty keep you from voting but don't go voting on knee jerk opinions. Knowing is half the battle...
