So I went to Spice Thai in Lake Forest and all I can say is WOW and mmmmm! It has a good sized parking lot too. This would be a good place, but it is quite small. We would have to see if reservations were available.

I feel ok now, I ate Italian the night before, then stopped off at an Irish pub with a bunch of friends untill closing, so that didn't help. Thai Spice is by the house, but I hate Thai food, I can grab food next door at the JalapeƱos

how about IHOP???????
Ewwww IHOP is nasty. Such crappy food. If we did go to a pancake house, we would have to go to The Original Pancake House. :)
Kelly Girl
02-27-2008, 02:06 PM
how about IHOP???????
ima kick you in the head for that MIKE.
WHAT?????? IHOP is great, chocolate chip pancakes with crispy bacon and hashbrowns with Cholula..................... I will be snowboarding on the 8th recooping on the 9th, and drag day on the 16th so eh, whatever, I will show up. I would do a vote on Thai food though as I don't know how many people on here like it, I like spicy stuff, but have an aversion to Thai food. If thats the majority, the rest of us will have to deal with it.

we're trying to pick a dan-friendly place..
i know a few vegan friendly places but they are in sherman oaks area........and they are pretty small places....
They have grilled cheese and salad.........................
so is he vegan or vegetarian....im not a big meat eater and find my way around menus when i dont feel like eating meat
xoutofstepx
02-27-2008, 06:22 PM
I am vegetarian and I can eat grilled cheese anywhere. Thai food is so delicious! I don't like sushi, but I still went. I am going to make a poll. ;)
Here is the website for the Thai place: http://spicethai.net (http://spicethai.net/)
I have never had Thai food but that sounds pretty damn good. My friend Richard says he is down for the meet too.

I will eat where ever we go............
I am pretty sure that applies to everyone hah  . We all love to eat!
After that beef recall last week, and hearing the stories of cruelty, I will admit I gave it some thought for a second. I don't think I have the will power to stay of meat though.....

Yeah it really does suck. :( It's not that hard, trust me. Give it a shot for about a week and see how you hold up. You just need to find alternatives. This place called Veggie Grill in Irvine is amazing! I have taken meat-eaters there and they enjoy it. The fake chicken tastes real and has the same consistency. Fresh tasting food too. Oooohhh and sweet potato fries! Check the site and go there! http://www.veggiegrill.com/

Either date sounds good. As far as food, I'm very open minded. I'm cool with any kind of food.

Kelly Girl

Like Kelly said this is not a huge GTG of any sort. It is just a bunch of friends getting together, eating some good food and shootin' the shit.

If you guys want to have a BBQ we can do it at newport bluffs.. there is a huge swimming pool, dog park, 4 barbecues, a theater, a small kitchen, and most important... plenty of parking!
Kelly Girl
03-04-2008, 10:12 AM
this BBQ idea is very interesting... are we still going with the Thai situation on 3/16 or is the new plan BBQ.
LMK, so we can set this in stone
I say we wait a few months to do a cook out untill we are guaranteed good weather. Unless we want to do a BBQ restaurant ETG like Johnny Rebs or Chris & Pitts, Lucile's, etc..... Lets stick to Thai on this one.
Kelly Girl
03-04-2008, 11:01 AM
agreed.
WTF BBQ FTW... mebe in the summertime...
personally, I'd consider hosting a weenie roast
