I met a guy yesterday outside of the NYC cafe' on Lakeforest that owns a real HPA R32, black with orange 8 (yes EIGHT!) piston AMG brakes up front!!!! I took a picture of it with my phone, talked to the guy, he may come to our meet. He bought the hobby shop in the shopping center next to the NC cafe' on Lakeforest and Moulton.

I have a split cv boot on the drivers side. It is leaking grease. I took it to capo vw and they ended up telling me that it may have been caused by the improper installation of the springs. They won't do any work on it. What sucks is that it just started leaking last week, and the springs have been on there for a long time, so I know it wasn't the installation. And aftermarket springs alone won't cause a cv boot to split. They have serviced the car before and i've even rotated the tires and the cv was never torn or leaking grease until like a couple weeks ago. Anyways, they won't fix it under warranty, so I'm gonna try and take it to commonwealth. Or i'm hoping maybe mike will see this and help me out haha Since he has a buddy at capo.

But ya, I'll probably be driving the 7 :D

dude that suuucks.. you have bad luck with CV boots! Hope it all works out.. I believe that the dealership has to prove that the springs caused the cv to leak before they deny your claim.

I think this meet is one of the better all euro meets i've gone to. so much respect between car makes...

mad props to brandon and john, both benzo drivers! of course the ontario regulars hehehe...and my dear bimmerheads! i think i'll be coming to this meet every time it comes around! :tup2:

LOL, yes i admit that was me =P...i gassed up in a hurry cuz i was too excited to get to the meet...now actually, i'm just forgetful like that! thanks though for the compliments man! but the sickest touring there was my buds! thaichi808's S3 dinan touring didn't leave anything for my imagination!!! that touring's detail is down to the t...even his moldings, rear wiper cover, and his railings are painted jet black...was at HIN...been showcased at bimmerfest on several occasions, and i was one of the honorable guests at his recent photoshoot with another touring buddy of ours for bimmer mag...sorry if i'm starting to ramble, i just worship the asphalt that touring runs on =P...

I think we got our point across, he should be mellow from now on. We have a great, easy to get to stress free spot, and we all aim to keep it that way. The guy in the 997TT was driving like a douche too when he left, we really aren't impressed with how fast a $140K car can go in a parking lot. I would have had a talk with him to but he was leaving.
