Everybody in the IE complains about them. I ordered a FMIC a while back and had it 2 days later ;)

BTW, why do you feel the need to get a short ram???

Why do you want to do a short ram intake? They make the R32 lose power, not gain. Check vortex's R32 forum, there is a big thread comparing all the intakes on a dyno.

If you want to make power, you need a CAI like Carbonio, AEM, or GHL.

Thanks for everyone's response. I think I will go with a cold air intake. Whats your opinion on the intake system that can be a cold air intake then be changed to a short ram?

Also, I've been reading through the various intake threads and saw that the Neuspeed P-flow intake was mentioned a lot. I went to the Neuspeed website and read about the p-flow intake and the Race Series CAI. What's the best choice for a IV R32? Also, whats your reviews on the VF Engineering CAI?

The K&N short ram actually gained a few HP for the R32 not lost, but it was the smallest gainer of all the options out there. Go with AEM then you don't have to worry about the smog police giving you hell.

I'd go with AEM if I was going to do it over again. Am happy with the EIP CCAI intake and the 18whp it gave my car, but since EIP is out of business (and since they screwed lots of R32 owners over) I'd avoid that brand.
