I just got new Cross Drilled & Slotted front Rotors and Cross Drilled Rear Rotors and some Mintex Red Box Pads. I've done hundreds of brake jobs in my life but never one with the wear sensor attached.
My question, is this a job I can do myself or does the computer need to be adjusted because of the Wear Sensor?
Thanks everyone!

If you done it before on another car, shouldnt be much different.
The rears require a tool, so that you turn and push in the piston at the same time. You could do it with some handtools, but its a pain. I would make sure you know what your doing there.
But overall, should be straightforward.

If the new pads have the wear sensor on them, all you have to do is plug them in.
No VAG-Com required.

it's easy as pie. just a regular brake job but there is a wire involved. nothing difficult. when you pull the driver's pads/rotor you'll see what to do.

Get your jack and tools out and get to work already, lol. No problemo
What Tony said, also don't forget to bed the pads properly.

Thanks Everyone!
I'll post pics of their pretty Goldness peeking through the rims once I get them on. Gonna go over to my friends shop. I owe him some computer work and he owes me some shop time.
I love the barter system.

Just got my BFI slotted rotors and mintex pads in and I'll be putting them on today too. If Im doing the front brakes only, would I need to bleed the brakes a lot? The tech at my work told me I wont even need to.

Bleeding the brakes is not required after a pad and rotor change.
But remember, VW recommends replacing the brake fluid every 24 months. How long has it been? Has it ever been done?
