Anyone have any experience or input on Koni FSD for a MKIV GTI. From the research I've been doing, they seem like a really solid suspension setup. There is a kit on MJM that couples these shocks w/ Neuspeed springs for the MKIV. They make a kit w/ Eibach springs, but was only able to find them for the MKV.

What do you guys think? :)

hey man how you been?...well how low are you looking, and if its a shock/spring combo youll be stuck with what you get as far as height and comfort...like most say if your gonna spend the green make it count and go coils...or maybe a nice cup kit...how much is that kit?

I know coils is the way to go, but I really dont need coils. The kits are runnign around $650 give or take 20 bucks. I'm looking to drop her no more than 2". I'm goin more for looks than performance. I'm never gonna need to adjust ride height and dampening and all that shit. Just want her to look nice. And I'd rather pay $700 for looks rather than $1200+. Ya feel me? : )

I've been good man, just fuckin busy w/ work and what not. Ima start coming around more. Gonna hit up Rezie about those shock, hopefully on Tuesday.

How've you been?

ive been good man, just finishing up the car and work and school haha
well i got my coils for significantly less than 1200...the ride is good and i love the stance...so its your call bro..check out some spring shock combos and compare them to cup kits and lastly coils and youll see that the difference is big in ride comfort and look, but price can be worked around

I have that skeptical feeling right now man....lol But Im definitely considering them. Also Anthony told me about a company called Janspeed. A european company that seems to be pretty legit. They have a set of coilovers for my car for £219.99. Not sure what that equates to in US dollars, im assuming somewhere around $400. Just seems too good to be true for a good coilover setup. But for that price, might as well try it out.

yea for sure man, id like that actually.

I was actually researching them today. And i like what I found so far. Founded in 1962 in europe. Alot of european race teams uses this setup. i have another week to research and decide. im going on a business trip and wont be back til next week. so that next friday i should have a decision and will order the setup i want. price is a key factor, so the big name companies are out....lol TEIN and the new company Janspeed are the 2 companies ima end up going with once i decide. just goin for looks....lol
