I did some research on the tex and found out that the best clutch for my setup is from South Bend clutch. Im not planning of going BT so I dont need more than a stage 1. South bend says that the stock dual mass flywheel can be resurfaced but others say it cant. Can you guys give me some info on what clutch I should get, where to buy it from, and if I also need to buy a new dual mass flywheel. Or if I should just get all oem, whats the best place to buy?

My clutch is starting to slip but not bad and also my inner left cv boot is blown so Im gonna replace both at the same time. Let me know guys thanks

Yes, a dual mass can be machined, it's just that most machine shops don't have the capability to do so due to the flywheel's larger center portion.

I'd just get the southbend, since they'll resurface your flywheel for 50 bucks when you buy a clutch from them.

If you decide to run an aftermarket or new flywheel, I'd just pic up a factory clutch from mjmautohaus. It does the job, and does it well (for stock turbo)

i run a south bend...not a 20th...but i can attest (sp?) to the quality of their parts.

I run SouthBend Stage 3 clutch with OEM resurfaced flywheel on my STG3 S4. I know you don't want to run a bigger turbo (and I have a completely different car), but I can also attest to the quality and performance (and ease of DD even on the Stage 3 clutch) of SB clutches.

So where can I buy a South Bend clutch? Only through them or is there a dealer here in SD? and where could I resurface my DMFW?
